Uncertainty in life is increasing by the day with ABNAMRO merger talk and the surrounding uneasiness.
God knows what life will be next month this day.
An excert from the Chairman's message says it all.....
We have extended the exclusivity period with Barclays until the end of Friday 20 April.
The discussions are progressing, but there can be no certainty that they will lead to a transaction or the form it will take.
Separately, we have responded to the joint letter we received from Royal Bank of Scotland, Banco Santander and Fortis. We have agreed to meet with them in Amsterdam early next week in order to seek clarification on their intentions and interests.
